There's an iciness untold. - 1967  In the High Victorian period some cartoonists found Johnny [Canuck] too crude a figure to convey Canada's moral superiority in her quarrels with the U.S., the U.K., or the Metis of the Red River. They introduced a new symbol, Miss Canada, to stand for Canadian virtue.
